Welcome To NetKnots.Com | The Most Trusted Knots On The Net.

I found this little book, "To Hell With Fishing" at a garage sale in Taos New Mexico a few months back. It was published in 1945 by Ed Zern and it features his little one-page articles on fishing and on the opposite page are fishing cartoons by H. T. Webster. The cartoon below,
one of Webster's many "Life's Darkest Moments", still rings true and can produce a chuckle to fishermen today. And on a more practical side, I can't help thinking that illustrates what makes our Knot Cards so popular nearly seventy years later!
Other common themes in the cartoons are "How to Torture Your Husband", How to Torture Your Wife", and "The Thrill that Comes Once in a Lifetime". A very funny little book and well worth the fifty cents it cost me!
