Tenkara Knots

There are two main specialty knots used in Tenkara Fly Fishing - the Level Line Knot and the Traditional Line Knot. Tenkara is the Japanese method of fly fishing which uses only a rod, line and fly (no fly reel full of line). Long popular in Japan, Tenkara has been introduced and made popular in the United States single-handedly by Mr. Daniel Galhardo and his company Tenkara USA. Others have jumped into the sector such as Yvon Chouinard and his Patagonia brand and several fly rod companies now such as Temple Fork Outfitters. The growing momentum is a testament to the fun of fishing with "one rod, one line one fly"! Have fun with Tenkara!
